PLAINVILLE - The Plainville boys swimming and diving team put itself in the win column for the first time this season thanks to a strong overall showing in its 92-78 win over Windsor Tuesday afternoon.

Taegan Brochu and Isaiah Bandle each came way as double winners to lead the Blue Devils. Brochu took first place in both the 200 IM and the 100 backstroke, while Bandle won both the 200 and 500 freestyles.

Other Plainville swimmers to finish the day on top of their respected events included Lorenzo Samperi in the 100 freestyle, Peter Bienasz in the 50 freestyle and Graham Eyres in the 100 butterfly.

“It was a great swim overall, everyone picked up points,” Blue Devils head coach Chris Zagorski said. “It was a great way to get back into things coming out of the break.”
