Windsor man killed in motorcycle accident in Plainville

PLAINVILLE – A Windsor man was killed in a motorcycle crash on Route 72 in Plainville over the weekend.

State police on Monday identified the victim as Kendell Alston. He was 47 years old and was alone on the bike.

According to state police, Alston was driving a 2007 Kawasaki motorcycle on Sunday around 2:53 p.m. on Route 72 eastbound, in the area of Exit 3, when he struck the guardrail barrier on the left side of the road. Troopers said it is not clear why he lost control of the bike. 

Alston, during the crash, was thrown from the motorcycle. He suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to state police.

The accident is still under investigation.

State police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash or captured something relevant on dashcam footage while traveling in the area to contact Trooper Benjamin Rafala at 860-534-1000 or Benjamin.Rafala@ct.gov.
