21st Annual Helen & Danny Coughlin Walk will be held Oct. 1

PLAINVILLE – The 21st Annual Helen & Danny Coughlin Walk will be held Oct. 1 at Norton Park, and PARC, Inc. is seeking sponsorships.

“PARC, Inc. is a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization that promotes and protects the human rights of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities,” states a release.

In their release they stated that “individuals or businesses that would like to support the annual walkathon can “PARCner” with the non-profit organization by partnering at six levels ranging from bronze at $75 to MVP at $2,000. Each sponsor receives various signage, publicity and more for the upcoming walk.”

The event will begin at 9 a.m. with registration, then opening ceremonies and the walk will be held.

“PARC, Inc., which is celebrating its 65th anniversary, actively supports their clients’ full inclusion in the community. Through family centered services, PARC nurtures confidence and self-esteem by fostering talents and social skills by providing a wide variety of programs including Camp Trumbull, Life Skills, Aging with Disabilities, Healthy Living Activities, and Safety Awareness Programs at minimal or no cost to individuals. People from Plainville and surrounding towns are welcome to join,” stated the release.
