Kapura General Contractors invites families to celebrate Halloween this Saturday

PLAINVILLE – Kapura General Contractors invites families to celebrate Halloween this Saturday, Oct. 30, at a “Truck or Treat” event, which will also collect donations for the Plainville Community Food Pantry.

The “Truck or Treat” event will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. at Kapura General Contractors at 339 Cooke St. Children are encouraged to come in costume and to bring a treat bag to collect candy and treats with from local businesses. They will also have an opportunity to see big trucks and heavy equipment. Little Red Grille food truck will be on-site for the event.

Christopher McCarty, who is in charge of marketing at Kapura General Contractors, invited local families to come down for a night of “food, music and fun.”

“Come join us bring the family for fun time and come support a great cause and the community of Plainville," he said.

During the Truck or Treat event, Kapura General Contractors will be collecting donations for the Plainville Community Food Pantry. People are asked to bring along a non-perishable food item or a cash donation of $5 per family.

“The Plainville Community Food Pantry helps countless families in the area,” said McCarty. “All contributions are appreciated.”

.Sugar

.Ketchup

.Relish

.Mustard

.Pasta sauce

.Chef Boyardee/canned pasta products

.Juice boxes

.Spam

.Fruit cups/canned fruit

.Individually wrapped toilet paper or paper towels

.Individually packaged snack size chips or other snacks

.Shampoo

.Soap

.Laundry detergent

. Dishwasher soap

Town Manager Robert E. Lee shared information about the Truck or Treat on social media and thanked Kapura General Contractors for holding the event for the benefit of the community.

“Thank you to Kapura General Contractors for sponsoring this fun and fund-raising event,” said Lee.
