Plainville police looking for witnesses, those with information after pedestrian was struck by car, died

PLAINVILLE -- Police are seeking witnesses and those who may have information after a man was killed in a car accident involving a pedestrian late Thursday.

Police on Friday identified the victim as Plainville resident Christopher Dempsey, 50.

According to police, Dempsey was a pedestrian who was struck by a vehicle on New Britain Avenue, just before 9 p.m. Police said the accident took place on Route 372, in between Goodwill and Starbucks.

Police said Dempsey “sadly died from injuries sustained in this tragic accident.”
