PLAINVILLE - Two men were transported for non-life threatening injuries in a head-on collision on Washington Street Monday afternoon.

The accident happened around 6 p.m. in front of Northeast Garage Door Systems, 38 Washington St.

The driver of an Acura MDX, heading south toward Broad Street, had an unknown medical issue before veering off and colliding with a Dodge Grand Caravan, which had been heading the opposite way, police said.

The two men driving the Acura and Dodge were the lone occupants in those cars. Airbags were deployed in the Dodge.

The Acura kept traveling after hitting the Dodge and hit a Volvo XC90 parked in a neighboring residence, which sustained minor damage.

Both cars in the collision were towed away from the scene.
