PLAINVILLE - Two suspects have been identified by police after allegedly shoplifting over $200 in items from a local CVS.

Plainville Police Lt. Nick Mullins said they are working on a warrant to charge the woman and man with larceny.

The suspects, both in their 30s and from the area, are alleged to have stolen makeup, food, diapers, Monster energy drinks, water and more around 8:30 p.m. on Monday, Mullins said.

The woman took a cart, quickly walked up and down aisles of the store loading up the cart and walked out without paying for it, Mullins said.

She got into a red pickup truck driven by the man, Mullins said.

The suspects were identified after the employee at CVS who saw them steal the items, saw them again Tuesday evening at a Walmart in Southington, Mullins added.

Police responded to the Walmart and identified the suspects from the theft, but because of the time passed since the incident, they have to have a warrant to arrest and charge them, Mullins said.
