PLAINVILLE - A Bristol man was arrested Wednesday for allegedly breaking into a local home days earlier and making a sexual advance on a woman.

Filiberto Hernandez-Antoni, 27, of 141 Mountain View Ave., Bristol, is facing charges of second-degree burglary, violation of a protective order, third-degree assault, disorderly conduct and three counts of risk of injury to a minor.

According to the arrest warrant, Hernandez-Antoni went to a home Monday where the mother of his children had been staying. She was staying there with a friend, as she and Hernandez-Antoni have been having issues recently. The two share four children together, ages 9, 7, 5 and 2.

According to the warrant, Hernandez-Antoni arrived at the home and started knocking on the door. Everyone inside then hid in a bathroom. According to the warrant, Hernandez-Antoni opened the door and started calling out for the mother of his children. Her friend exited the bathroom and said the woman wasn’t there.

Hernandez-Antoni then saw the victim in the bathroom and approached her. She left the bathroom, but he allegedly grabbed her by the wrists and forced her back inside. There, he allegedly made a sexual advance on her, the warrant said. She slapped his hands away and said no.

The woman’s friend then called police. By the time officers got there Hernandez-Antoni was gone. He could not immediately be located.

During Hernandez-Antoni’s arraignment Thursday in Bristol Superior Court, officials said this is his third domestic arrest with the same victim.

Judge Richard Dyer said it appears like an “escalating pattern” of behavior has been exhibited.

Dyer ordered Hernandez-Antoni be held on $150,000 bond and placed him under intense pretrial supervision, which could include GPS monitoring at the discretion of the bail commissioner. He is due back in court June 2 to enter a plea.
