Lawrence W. Mielniczuk, 67, of Oxford, England passed away peacefully on Aug. 9, 2022 in Oxford, England. Lawrence was born on Sept. 9, 1954 in Munich, Germany, the son of the late Chester L. and Theresa (Kundla) Mielniczuk of Bristol. Lawrence graduated from Bristol Eastern High school in 1972 and Central Connecticut State College in 1976.

Lawrence was predeceased by his wife Jane (Carey) of Wales. Lawrence is survived by his loving sisters,   Patricia Mielniczuk of Jensen Beach, FL, and Kathy (Mielniczuk) Szmalc and her husband Lawrence of Bristol, his nieces, Amanda (Szmalc) Marcotte and her husband Daniel of Bristol, Samantha (Szmalc) Johnson and her husband Cleveland of Wethersfield, his two great-nephews Chase and Jack Marcotte, his long time friend Hannah Smith, and his much loved godson, Robert Smith of Wallingford, England, three aunts and many cousins.

Lawrence worked and retired from the Bodleian Library of Oxford University in England. Lawrence was an avid reader, loved to travel, to learn the as much history as he could; he loved to do crossword puzzles.

Services will be held at a later date at the Oxford Crematorium in Oxford England, officiated by Rev. David Rice of St. Mary-le-More Church of Wallingford England.
