Peter A. Marenna, 104, of Southington passed away on Friday, Nov. 12, 2021 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Anna “Jennie” Campagnano Marenna. He was born on Oct. 7, 1917, the son of the late Joseph and Dolores Oronfrio Marenna.

Prior to his retirement he was employed by TRW in Plainville and Ideal Forging in Southington. Peter played baseball and basketball growing up and he was a longtime Umpire for the town’s little league for many years. He was a member of the Civil Defense during WWII.

He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law Tonia and Evo Mongillo his granddaughter Charlene all of Southington. He was predeceased by his grandson Michael Mongillo and three brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Nov. 15 at 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. to St. Dominic Church, 1050 Flanders Road at 10 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be on Sunday from 4- 6 p.m.
