Ronald William Barnes

Ronald William Barnes, 56, of Winsted, formerly of Bristol and Avon, son of the Rev. William and Patricia Barnes of Avon, died of cardiac arrest on Sept. 19 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Torrington, after a long illness.  He was a self-employed building contractor specializing in the installation of siding and worked for many years in the Bristol, Farmington Valley and Winsted areas. 

In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother, Richard Barnes of Reunion, FL and sister- in law, Maureen Barnes of Avon; a sister, Rebecca Barnes Reppucci, and brother-in-law Steven Reppucci of Lakeville, MA; a nephew and niece, Christopher and Emma Barnes of Avon; nephews, Anthony and Zachary Reppucci of Lakeville, MA; an aunt and uncle, Kathryn and John Dube of Bristol; an uncle and aunt, James and Ruth Barnes of Glenwood Springs, CO.

A service of remembrance will be held later in the year. Since he loved the cats in his life, donations in Ronald’s name may be made to Cat Tales, Inc., a rescue agency helping to find loving homes for cats, P. O. Box 901, Middletown, CT 06457.
