Linda L. Haviland, 74, of Bristol, Conn., entered the heavenly gates on Monday, Sept. 6, 2021 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease. She was surrounded by her siblings. Linda was born in Bristol on April 26, 1947, the daughter of the late Raymond Haviland and Olive Haviland whom she lived with at The Pines of Bristol.

She is survived by her mother, Olive Haviland; two sisters, Catherine Turner and husband Brian and Carol Rivard and husband Jerry; her three brothers, Calvin Haviland, Charles Haviland and wife Robin and John Haviland, plus several nieces and nephews. Linda was a lifetime resident of Bristol. She graduated from Bristol Eastern and pursued an arts degree at Tunxis Community College.

Her love for people and animals was the most enduring part of her personality, which anyone who knew her would agree. She was gentle and argumentative all in one. Linda enjoyed drawing, painting, and her flower and vegetable gardens along with her cats with a passion.

The family will hold a private service at their convenience. Donations can be made in her name to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38015.
