Mildred “Hope” Berry passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones in her home, in Terryville, CT, on Friday September 3rd, 2021.

She was born on June, 14th 1920. Hope was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother, and Great-Great Grandmother to her 2 children, 9 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandson. She also was a wonderful Aunt to her nieces and nephews. She was a long time resident of Bristol and attended Bristol Congregational Church for nearly 60 years. She met her husband Herbert of more than 50 years, whom she survived, and they grew a beautiful family together, which she enjoyed to spend time with whenever she could. They together had a son H. Arthur Berry of Plymouth, CT and a daughter Merilyn Ready of Terryville, CT. Of her immediate family of four, Hope’s family grew more than she could have dreamt. She always said she was a rich woman, and not measured by money, but measured by the love she had around her. She was kind, loyal, understanding, and the best secret keeper you could ever meet. She always looked at the positive side of things, and wouldn’t even speak of the negative. She taught her family all of these lessons and will be missed my many.

She will have a graveside service on Tuesday September 7th, 2021 at 1pm, at Peacedale Cemetery in Bristol. All are welcome to attend.
