Mary Susan Thibodeau, 86, of Ocala, Fla., passed away at Cates House on Jan. 2, 2021. She was born on Sept. 26, 1934, in St. John, Maine to Marcy and Mary (Pelletier) St. John. Mary and Relio Thibodeau married and moved from Maine to Bristol where they raised a family of 4 children. Mary was a highly regarded legal secretary in an attorney’s office before she & Relio retired and moved to Ocala, Fla. in 1989.
Mary enjoyed baking & making fudge and she often shared her goodies with the neighbors. She loved reading, puzzle making and writing to pen pals and family too. Mary also volunteered at Brother’s Keeper for 24 years. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and a very loving and giving person.
Mary is predeceased by her son, Bruce Thibodeau and her sister, Flora May Cyr, and is survived by her husband of 65 years, Relio Thibodeau, her children, Janet Thibodeau (Becky Giblin), Gary (Elaine) Thibodeau, Claire (Richard) Carlson, and daughter-in-law Debi Thibodeau. Mary also leaves behind two granddaughters, Jennifer Nadeau, Patricia Parlante and grandson, Gary Thibodeau, Jr.; four great grandchildren, Dominic and Jarred Thibodeau; and Lia and John Parlante and a sister Ferial Thibodeau.
