Kanika M. Beland, 33, of Bristol, died on Saturday (September 5, 2020).

Born on March 14, 1987 to Tammy Beland, she was a longtime Bristol resident. Kanika attended Oliver Wolcott Technical High School in Torrington, and concentrated in hairdressing. She was very high-energy, and always on the go, and was known for being a hard worker. Kanika was passionate about singing and dancing, and loved camping with her family and spending time at the beach. Above all else she loved her three children.

Kanika is survived by her mother: Tammy Beland of Bristol; daughters: Zalina Beland and Araynna Jaquith of Bristol; son: Malaki Hawes of Bristol; brother: Shawn Beland of Bristol; godmother: Sharon Eisenberger; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
