Lisa Marzullo, 31, of Bronxville, NY passed away on Monday, May 18, from a hard fought battle with cancer. She peacefully passed in her home surrounded by those she dearly loved.

Lisa was born in Bristol, CT to Andrea and Jesse Jablon on January 26, 1989. She went to school in Terryville, CT and attended college at Hofstra University, graduating in 2007 and 2011 respectively.

She married her loving husband, David Marzullo, on May 24, 2015, at St. Patrick’s Church in Bayshore, NY.

Lisa worked as a Director of Communications at Warner Media in New York for three years, and prior to that she worked at Hunter Public Relations for six years. Lisa was involved in the Public Relations Society of America and had recently won the 30 under 30 designation presented by the organization for excellence in the field.

More importantly, Lisa dedicated her time to being there for family and friends. She made sure to support those she cared about through acts of love, kindness, and simply being there for each and every important life event. Even if that meant sacrificing her own priorities.

Lisa enjoyed spending time traveling the world with her husband David. She was an avid lifelong Mets fan. She spent as much time as she could with family and friends, working diligently at advancing her blossoming career, and watching her favorite television shows, particularly Grey’s Anatomy and the Bachelor/Bachelorette.

Pre-deceased by her grandmother Catherine Reid, grandfather Anthony Tricarico, cousin Chris Llanos, grandmother in-law Carmella Marzullo.. Survived by her husband David Marzullo, parents Andrea and Jesse Jablon, brother Ben Jablon, grandparents Joan and Larry Jablon, sister-in-law Maria Marzullo, mother and father in-law Susan and Alan Marzullo, along with a long list of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends who all loved her dearly.

Funeral Services will be private and closed to family given the current COVID restrictions. Services will be held at Barnes-Sorrentino Funeral Home in West Hempstead, NY, followed by burial at Pinelawn Memorial Park and Cemetery in Farmingdale, NY.

In lieu of any flowers please direct donations to Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center via the path listed below. Donations made here will be directed to Lisa’s neuro-oncologist, Dr. Adrienne Boire; The Adrienne Boire Lab.

Dr. Boire is working to find treatments that will make survivability of brain/spinal cancer metastasis possible.
