Barbara Cafora

Barbara Cafora passed away after a long illness on Friday, May 3, 2019, at the age of 87.  She was a long time Bristol resident, active member of church and many civic affairs. She was an avid sports fan (Go UConn!) and passionate about traveling. Barbara lived a fulfilling life as a loving mother to four children, a caring sister, amazing wife to her late husband(s) and a friend to many.  Barbara is survived by her loving caregivers; daughter, Mary-Frances Pergoda (John); granddaughter, Katie Donnatien (Phillip) and Neal Fitzpatrick, Jr. (Sandra); daughter, Cathy Beliveau; grandchildren, Heather Pergoda, Robert Pergoda & Sarah Beliveau (Wil); great-grandchildren, Maddox, Araya, Ava, Regina and Robert Camdyn.  She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Cafora; her first husband, Attorney Harry Pergoda; her sons, Hank Pergoda and Jack Pergoda; brother, John Breen (Rita) and two special friends, Kay Skelskey & Lois Wagenknecht. Special thanks are extended to friends at 570, Jim Batista and Gladys Rosario. The Family invites friends to join them at St. Gregory Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 a.m., on Saturday, May 11, 2019, at 235 Maltby St., Bristol. There will be no calling hours.
