Anthony (Tony) Pierro

Anthony (Tony) Pierro, of South Chatham, Mass., passed away peacefully on Jan. 3, 2019. He recently celebrated his 100th birthday. 

He was born in Bristol, to parents Vincenzo and Rosa Pierro.

Tony was a veteran of World War II and served in the Army. He retired from General Electric in Plainville.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 68 years, Eleanor Kratzke Pierro; four children, son Mark and his wife, Denise; daughter, Elaine; son, John and his wife, Kathie; daughter, Jane and her husband, Robert; two brothers, Alexander Pierro and his wife, Genevieve, and Joseph Pierro and his wife, Joan; seven grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and seven nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at a later date. Special thanks to VNA nurse Milisa Keene and Hospice nurse Suzanne Turo.
