John Kenneth Wright passed away on Nov. 28, 2018, after a valiant battle with cancer.  He was born in Bristol, on May 11, 1967, to Gloria and Donald Wright. John had a passion for his work as a flooring specialist. He was an excellent cook, loved trips to the beach, casino, movies with the family or ice cream with his niece and nephew. John had a heart of gold. He would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need. He was a kind, generous soul that will truly be missed. He is survived by his father, Donald Wright of Bristol and his siblings, Sharon Creighton (Jim), Susan Morin (Steve), Mary Kate Hogan (Chris), and his twin brother, Donald Wright. He cherished his nieces and nephews, Liam and Olivia Creighton, Sarah and Tyler Morin, Dillon and Zachary Hogan. John was also loved by many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.  He was predeceased by his devoted mother earlier this year. The family would like to thank his healthcare providers, especially Dr. James Flaherty and team at St. Francis Hospital, Smilow Cancer Center, Touchpoints at Farmington, Seasons Hospice and the Stone Academy program. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2018, at St. Ann’s Church in Bristol at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Donations in honor of John’s giving nature can be made to the Wheeler Clinic, Plainville or to sponsor a needy child during this season of giving.
