Barbara C. Blais, 92, of Burlington, widow of Joseph C. Blais, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018. Born July 13, 1926, in Springfield, Mass., she was the daughter of the late Corliss and Hazel Canedy. Barbara was a longtime, active member of Prospect United Methodist Church in Bristol and was a member of the Bristol Women’s Club. She loved gardening and spending time at her cottage in Gloucester, MA. Barbara is survived by her three daughters, Deborah Thomas and her husband, Leonard, of Ellington, Rebekah Johnson and her husband, Allen, of Collinsville and Melissa Blais and her husband, Jon Thiesse, of Canton. She was the loving grandmother of 11 and great-grandmother of 13.  She was predeceased by her two sisters, Dorcas Blais and Shirley Orr; her son, Bradford Blais and his wife, Mary Ann Blais. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Oct. 13 at 11 a.m. in Prospect United Methodist Church, 99 Summer St., Bristol. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Prospect United Methodist Church, 99 Summer St., Bristol, CT 06010. Arrangements are being handled by The Ahern Funeral Homes, Inc., .
