Penny J. Walker

Penny J. Walker, 82, of Bristol, husband of Mozelle D (Wrice) Walker, passed peacefully at home with his family at his side, on Saturday Oct. 6, 2018.  Penny was born on May 11, 1936, in Middletown, son of the late Penny J. and Lucille (Anderson) Walker. He graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School in 1955. He was a U. S. Air Force veteran, serving from Sept. 1955 to June 1959. He was employed by United Technology Hamilton Standard before his retirement in 1989. He was member of the Spottswood AME Zion. In addition to his wife, he is also survived by a son, Perry (Pamela) Robertson of New Haven; his daughters, Taffie Ann (Mark) Dudley, Tammie, Wendie, Ashley Walker and Shajuana Codero all of Bristol, and Constance Godet of Fla.  He was predeceased in death by his daughters, Shenia Walker and Renee Singleton; a grandson, Thaddeus L. Singleton; a granddaughter, Tanya Singleton; his mother and father-in-law, Dr. Rev Harold & Peggy Wrice Sr; his brothers, Ralph Walker Sr. and Charles Walker and a sister-in-law, Mavis Walker.  Funeral services will be held Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018, at 11 a.m., at Spottswood AME Zion Church, New Britain. The family will greet relatives and friends directly at the church from 10 to 11 a.m. Burial with military honors will be in Quinnipiac Cemetery, Plantsville.
