Edward Peter “Pete” Wierzbicki, 62, husband of Jan (Tyrrell) Wierzbicki, passed away peacefully at home after a short illness on July 15, 2018, with his family by his side.

Pete was born on Jun. 24, 1956, in Hartford to the late Edward R. Wierzbicki and Ruth McLagan Wierzbicki of Manchester. He moved with his family to Bristol the following year and resided in Bristol for most of his life.

He attended Clarence A. Bingham School, Memorial Boulevard School and graduated from Bristol Central High School in 1974.

Pete was especially proud of 35 years of employment with perfect attendance at the Morin Corporation in Bristol until his retirement in 2015.

In addition to his loving wife, Jan and mother, Ruth, Pete is survived by his special “Pal” daughter, Joanie Wierzbicki; his stepson, Justin Tyrrell; his sisters, Dale Julian, Mary Budnick, and Susan Guiney; his brother-in-law, Joseph Bernardi, and their families.

He is also survived by Jan’s sisters, Susan Tyrrell Donelan and Sheryl Messenger; and brothers, Nicholas Perugino and Todd Scoville and their families.

Pete fulfilled his dream of moving to South Carolina with Jan in 2015 and was very happy in their new home in Elloree.

He will be remembered for his gentleness and wry sense of humor and will be forever loved and missed by his many friends and family members.

Burial will be in South Carolina at the convenience of the family.
