Aaron Philip Silver

Aaron Philip Silver, 76, formerly of Bristol, and most recently Henderson, Nev., passed away Sunday, July 8, 2018.

Born October 22, 1941, Aaron was a proud graduate of Bristol High School. Aaron was an active and engaged member of the Bristol community, as a former President of Pepsi-Cola/Elco Beverage Bottling Company, a Bristol Police Commissioner, member of the Older Members Association of the Boys and Girls Club, past president of the United Way Congregation Beth Israel and many other civic and professional organizations. Aaron was also Chairman of the Pepsi-Cola Bottlers Association (U.S.) and an active member of the national Pepsi organization for many years. Aaron was a loving and giving friend to many and he often thought of ways to impact others. He organized autograph sessions, brought professional athletes to inspire Bristol’s youth and later, Aaron was awarded the William Bill A. Garrett Award for his impact on the Bristol community through sports and service.

Preceded in death by his parents, William Bill and Belle Silver; he is survived by his wife, Sharon Skaggs, whom he was thankful for the gift of extended life; daughters, Jill Silver (Michael Park), Stacey Silver (Jon Yolles) and Jami Silver; stepdaughters, Lisa Randall (Ryan) and Angela Miller; grandchildren, Sasha and Mia Yolles, Simon and Holden Lett, Cayden and Addison, Randall, Ryan, Michael, Mariah, and Xavier; sister, Harriet Levin; brothers Paul (Sandy) and Stephen Silver; childhood best friend, Alan Pease; cousin, David Silver, and many beloved nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service will be held in Aaron’s honor. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Legacy Kidney Transplant Services Funds, Office of Philanthropy / Good Samaritan Foundation, PO Box 4484, Portland, OR 97208,
