Leon M. Michaud, 57, was called to eternal life on Wednesday, Feb. 21, at the Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro, N.C.
Born in Bristol on April 22, 1960, he was the son of Leonel and Jacqueline M. (Voisine) Michaud of Bristol. He had lived most of his life in Bristol, Plainville and New Britain before recently settling to Whitsett, N.C. He had been employed several years at the YMCA of New Britain and will be remembered for his kindness and willingness to lend a helping hand when it was needed.
Besides his parents, left to honor and cherish his memory are his sisters, Joyce Zukowski and her husband, John, of Barkhamsted, Sandra Rubino and her husband, Mark, of East Hampton, and Lisa Brien and her husband, James, of Farmington; and many nieces and nephews. Leon was predeceased by a nephew, Brandon Caron.
His life and funeral will be celebrated on Saturday, March 3, at 10 a.m. at the Wellspring Church, 222 Lincoln St., Kensington, with interment following at St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Bristol. Leon’s family will receive visitors from 9 until 10 a.m. on Saturday at Wellspring Church.
