Charlotte Mae (Fleischner) Freedman of Brookline, Mass., formerly of Bristol and Lake Worth, Fla., passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018.

For 70 years, the beloved wife of the late Edward I. Freedman. Devoted mother of Donald Freedman and his wife, Ruth, of Newton, Mass.; Joan Chesler and her husband, Lawrence, of Waitsfield, Vt.; and Matthew Freedman and his wife, Kathleen Caldwell, of Brooksville, Maine. Loving grandmother to her grandchildren, Andrew and Elizabeth Freedman, Ezra and Alison Freedman, Cory and Kate Atkinson, Aaron Chesler, Benjamin and Megan Freedman, Rachel Freedman, and “Bubbe” to her great-grandchildren, Charlotte and Elias Atkinson; Max, Zachary, Talia and Zev Freedman. Dear sister of Audrey and Robert Kaplan of West Palm Beach, Fla. Fond aunt of three generations of nieces and nephews.

Services at Temple Emanuel, Newton, Mass. on Friday, Feb. 2, 2018, at 11:30 a.m. Following burial, shiva will be at the home of Ruth and Don Freedman until 4 p.m. and continuing on Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. with minyan at 7:30 p.m.
