Louis J. Laudati, 64, of Bristol, recently passed away after a difficult battle with cancer.
He is survived by his family, Cindy Laudati and Courtney Laudati of Bristol, and Sam and Taylor Laudati of Boston, Mass. Lou also leaves his cousin, Robert LaPointe of Watertown, as well other cousins and family members in Waterbury.
Lou’s family would like to express their deepest thanks to Lou’s best friend, John DiVenere, who tirelessly helped him through his illness. Others that encouraged and entertained Lou through this difficult time include neighbors, Jim Collins, Mel Maffei, Jon Redman, Mike Albert, Andy Laviero and their families. The family knows that Lou deeply appreciated the support he received from all of these friends and hopes they know how much they meant to him.
Lou was a charismatic man with many talents and sides. Over the years he excelled as a craftsman and builder, and had a successful career in property management. For all of the interesting things he did and choices he made in life, Lou lived life the way his favorite singer, Frank Sinatra, sang so perfectly: “And now, the end is near. And so, I face the final curtain. My friend, I’ll say it clear, I’ll state my case, of which I’m certain. I’ve lived a life that’s full, I’ve traveled each and every highway. And more, much more than this, I did it my way.”
A private memorial and burial service will be held in the spring.
