Jeffrey Alan Lawton, 53, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, Sept. 18, 2017.
He was born in Peekskill, N.Y., May 28, 1964, to Susan Sprague-Hitchcock and the late Richard Lawton. As a Disabled Navy Veteran, he was very involved with Veterans Affairs and the Bristol Chapter of the DAV, being the head permittee.
In addition to his many friends and fellow Veterans, he is survived by his two daughters, Samantha Lawton, Heather Lawton; one son, Steven Lawton; and the mother of his daughters and former wife, Michelle Lawton.
He is also survived by his step-father, George Hitchcock, sister, Stephanie Adkins, and brother, Gary Lawton, in addition to other aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Jeff had a larger than life personality, he was extremely compassionate, caring and fun as a father and a friend. He was loved by all and will be missed.
Jeff will have full military honors at his service at The State Veterans Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane Middletown, CT on Saturday, Sept. 30, at 10:30 a.m., with a reception to follow at the Bristol Chapter of the DAV, on Riverside Avenue.
