Sebastian M. Genovese, 86, of Burlington, formerly of Plainville, passed away peacefully Friday, Sept. 22, 2017.
Born in New Britain on May 5, 1931, he was the son of the late Pietro and Rosa (Mandolfo) Genovese. He was a United States Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict stationed with the 67th Air Police Squadron. Prior to retiring, Subby was an inspector at Fafnir Ball Bearing Company in Newington.
He is survived by his two daughters, Carmella Genovese Kall and her children, Cassandra and Spencer, Megan Raymond her husband, Scott, and their son, Ryder; his brother-in-law, Henry Przytulski; a step-daughter Gloria Swanson; a step daughter-in-law, Ann Marie Swanson; as well as several step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Subby was predeceased by his brothers, Joe, Tony and Sal; his sisters, Carmela, Angie, Sarah, Lucy and Mary; as well as his step-son, William Swanson, and his step-niece, Sharon Swanson.
Friends may call at The Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main St., Rt., Unionville on Friday, Sept. 29, from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral procession from The Ahern Funeral Home will be Saturday, Sept. 30, at 9:15 a.m. followed by the Funeral Liturgy in the Church of St. Ann, 47 Clark St., New Britain at 10 a.m. Burial with full military honors will be in St. Mary Cemetery, New Britain.
