Anthony D. DeNino, 95, of New Britain, passed away on Wednesday, June 21, 2017, at his home.

Born in Hartford on April 2, 1922, to the late Frank and Nancy (Lattanzio) DeNino, he was the beloved husband of the late Margaret (Pacinda) DeNino for 65 years. A veteran of the United States Army during World War II, Anthony served as a paratrooper in the OSS. He was an avid reader, was skilled in math, word puzzles and the stock market, and had a passion for horse racing. His keen sense of humor will be missed by many.

Anthony is survived by his two daughters, Susan O’Connell and her husband Daniel and Jean Kane and her husband Joseph, all of New Britain; his son, Mark DeNino of West Hartford; and his grandchildren, Daniel, Amy, Christopher and Brian O’Connell; Anthony, Timothy, Patrick and Frank Kane and Vanessa DeNino; his 13 great-grandchildren and his sisters-in-law, Hilda Pacinda of New Britain and Helen Kruczek of Berlin. Besides his parents and his beloved wife, he was predeceased by his brothers, John DeNino, Paul and Angelo Lattanzio; his sisters, Christine Andrews and Mary DiBella; and his great-granddaughter, Madeline.

Anthony’s funeral services will begin on Tuesday, June 27, at 9:30 a.m. from the Burritt Hill Funeral Home, 332 Burritt St., New Britain, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, New Britain. He will be laid to rest in Holy Trinity Byzantine Cemetery in New Britain with military honors.
