Daisy (Mossa) Lusis, 90, of Bristol, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2017, at Bristol Hospital. She was the widow of Bernard C. “Brownie” Lusis.

Daisy was born in Bristol on Jan. 16, 1927, the daughter of the late Luigi and Maria-Luisa (DiBiase) Mossa.

She was the founder and co-owner of Brownie’s Restaurant and Catering in Wolcott for many years before she retired. She was a member of St. Anthony Church.

Daisy is survived by a son, Dennis, and his wife, Leticia Lusis, of San Diego, their children, Mariam and Sarah Bier, plus several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by brothers, Peter Mossa, Emilio Mossa and Joseph Mossa, and a sister, Lucy (Mossa) Doty.

Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Anthony Church, Bristol, CT, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2017.

Calling hours will be held at Dunn Funeral Home, 191 West St., Bristol on Saturday from 9 to 9:45 a.m.

Burial will follow in St. Joseph Cemetery, Bristol.
