Heidi Anna Ursula (Zak) Voisine, 56, of Bristol, formerly of Plainville, passed away unexpectedly but peacefully on Friday, June 16, 2017. She was the beloved wife of her “Cakes” Michael P. Voisine for 14 years. Born in New Britain, daughter of the late Zdzislaw “Peter” and Ilse (Sauerhofer) Zak, she was a longtime Plainville resident before moving to Bristol and was employed by UConn Health Center as a fiscal administrative assistant for many years.

Heidi was always caring for others above herself. She loved family get-togethers, dancing, laughing and joking around. She enjoyed traveling, going to the casino and looked forward to camping and cruising with her husband, Mike. She recently attended her nephew’s wedding and had a wonderful time, she even shared a dance with the groom. Family was everything to Heidi and she will be forever missed by all who knew her.

A loving wife, devoted mother, adored Grammie, cherished sister, aunt and friend, she leaves her two daughters, Katrina Lank of Bristol and Denise Verner and her husband, Mark of Plainville; her four grandchildren: Mazin Lank, Mayra and Madisyn Ramos and Landon Verner; her sister Tamara Pysh and her husband, Tom of Plainville; her nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own: Amanda Salvo and her husband, Christopher of Cheshire, Thomas Pysh and his wife, Elyse of Plainville, Corina Pysh of New Britain, and Erika Procko and her husband, Joe of Plainville. She also leaves her brother-in-law, Bruce Voisine and his wife, Linda of Bristol; sisters-in-law, Pat Latham and her husband Al of Plainfield and Vyctoria Voisine and her spouse, Dave Harris of New Hampshire along with many treasured friends who were like family including: Rena and Joe Pelletier of Bristol, Denzel and Donna Scott of Meriden and Ron and Sue Massey of Plainville; Dennis M. Lank of Bristol, the father of her daughters and numerous beloved family members in Germany.

Heidi’s funeral service will be on Wednesday, June 21, at 8:45 a.m. at the Newington Memorial Funeral Home, 20 Bonair Ave., Newington followed by a 10:00 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mary Church, Newington. She will be laid to rest privately with her parents in St. Joseph Cemetery, Plainville. Relatives and friends are invited to call on Tuesday, June 20, from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at Newington Memorial.
