Linda (Norton) Hale, 74, wife of George Hale, passed away on May 10, 2017, at Tenova Healthcare in Jackson, Tenn. She was formerly of Wolcott, Conn., before moving to Henderson, Tenn.

She was born Dec. 9, 1942, in Waterbury, Conn., and was a daughter of the late Burton E. and Luella (Wellman) Norton. Linda graduated with an associate degree from Seneca College, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, and was a library technician at the Jackson State Community College Library in Jackson, Tenn. She was a member of Freed-Hardeman University Associates and was a member of the Henderson Church of Christ, Henderson, Tenn.

Besides her husband, Linda is survived by three sons and two daughters-in-law, Burton and Susan Hale of Wolcott, Conn., George Hale IV of Torrington, Conn., and Michael and Debra Hale of Bristol, Conn.; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Lois and Kenneth Rimer of Wolcott, Conn., and Jane and Sergio Arbesu of Austin, Texas; eight grandchildren, Kaylee, Alex, Emma, Hannah, Jack, Sophie, Mason and Isiah Hale; and many nieces and nephews.

Linda’s funeral will be held Thursday, May 18, 2017, at 10 a.m. in DuPont Funeral Home, 25 Bellevue Ave., Bristol, with the Rev. Jim Crisp, pastor of the Waterbury Church of Christ, officiating. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery, Wolcott, Conn. Calling hours will be held Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
