NEW BRITAIN - It was a tough way to end a tough homestand for the New Britain Bees.

Brian Dupra gave up six runs in the first inning alone as the Bees fell 9-2 to the York Revolution Sunday afternoon. New Britain has now lost six of its last seven.

York’s Carlos Triunfel was responsible for a majority of the Revolution’s runs, hitting a 1-0 pitch over the wall for a grand slam. It put York up 5-0 and the Bees were unable catch up.

For Dupra (3-8), it was a continuation of a slump that has lasted his last nine outings, eight of which have resulted in losses.

New Britain was finally able to get on the board in the fourth. Down 7-0, Torrington native Conor Bierfieldt launched a two-run homer of the left-field fence.
