NEW BRITAIN - The bottom of the Lancaster Barnstormers’ order proved to be too much for the New Britain Bees in an 8-4 loss for the host team on Tuesday at New Britain Stadium.

Trayvon Robinson, Lastings Milledge, Anderson De La Rosa and Nate Coronado all had strong performances for the Barnstormers. The No. 6 through 9 hitters combined for eight hits while driving in six runs and scoring seven of the team’s eight runs.

The Bees held a 4-2 lead through five innings before the Barnstormers struck for two runs with two outs in the sixth inning to tie it up.

New Britain’s Jovan Rosa was 3-for-4 with a run scored. Jordan Hinshaw drew a walk that allowed Rosa to score. Jamar Walton finished the game 2-for-4 with a pair of RBI.

Lancaster’s bullpen shut out the Bees lineup, allowing just three hits in five innings.
