NEW BRITAIN - The New Britain Bees made an addition to their roster Friday, signing utility-man Yusuke Kajimoto.

The 33-year-old spent the last three seasons with the Lancaster Barnstormers, but played just 38 games in 2016, hitting .254 with home run and eight RBI.

Since joining the Atlantic League in 2014, Kojimoto has appeared in 245 games with a .261 average, eight home runs and 77 RBI.

In the field, he lined up at second base, third base, shortstop and left field. Kajimoto has played both left and center field in the past with Lancaster.

To make room on the roster, the Bees released Kevin Putkonen. The outfielder appeared in just one game -back on April 27 - for New Britain this season and had one hit in three at-bats.
