SUGAR LAND, Texas - Michal Baca’s first RBI of the season proved to be a big one for the New Britain Bees.

Baca singled home Michael Crouse in the top half of the 11th inning to help the Bees beat the Sugar Land Skeeters 7-6 Tuesday afternoon to snap an eight-game losing streak.

Up 6-3 in the eighth, Sugar Land’s Jose Ortiz doubled in two runs off Brandon Fry. Joe Beimel came in to earn the save an inning later, but surrendered a game-tying home run to Albert Cordero to send the game into extras.

The Skeeters scored all six of their runs from the fourth through the ninth innings.

The beginning of the game was all New Britain. Paul Kronenfeld singled home the Bees’ first run in the second. Jovan Rosa followed up an inning later with a solo home run.

New Britain added four more runs in the fourth thanks to hits from Kronenfeld, Jake McGuiggan and Crouse, who drove in two runs.
