BRISTOL - Ricci & Co., CPAs, is committed to providing clients with hands-on service and personal attention, says owner Bryan Ricci.
Ricci & Co., CPAs, located at the historic former train station at 171 Central St., has been providing income tax, accounting and planning services to clients in the Bristol area since 1999.
Additionally, Ricci & Co. provides tax, wealth, retirement, and estate planning services through its affiliated company, Abacus Financial Advisors, LLC, and William Joseph Capital Management, LLC.
It also provides insurance services including annuities, life, disability and long-term care policies.
Ricci has extensive experience in the accounting field, having previously worked at several other local practices and as a chief finance officer for a local manufacturing company.
He moved to his current location in 2009 as an expansion to better serve his clients. The train station, built in 1881, is included on the National Register of Historic Places.
Ricci, born and raised in Bristol, said that business has been very good in his home town and surrounding communities and he has been fortunate to grow through word of mouth from many satisfied clients.
“After a customer calls us to set up an appointment, our first meeting is exploratory and we generally do not charge for that meeting,” said Ricci. “we gather important personal and financial information about them and try to develop a road map designed for their needs and then advise them in ways that are best for those needs.”
The stated mission of Ricci & Co., CPAs, is to “help our clients maximize their life’s opportunities by listening to what they are saying and working with them to discover and implement the best solutions.”
One growing area in his business that Ricci has been assisting a lot of clients with recently is financial planning.
“One of the biggest reasons I became a certified financial planner is that I wanted to be able to help our longtime clients transition through their work life and into retirement,” he said. “I have seen my clients become parents and then grandparents and because of the trust that we have created, our practice has ended up helping their children as well.”
Ricci said that he has always prioritized being involved in our community. He is the past chairman of the United Way of West Central Connecticut, which includes Bristol, Burlington, Plainville and Plymouth and he is a member of the Central Connecticut Chambers of Commerce. He is also the Director of Finance at St. Paul Catholic High School.
“I think it is important to support our community and to give back as much as possible,” he said.
