With three locations across Bristol, Plainville and Kensington, UBI Federal Credit Union is ready to offer residents of central Connecticut a convenient banking experience.

While the Plainville branch, located at 120 Woodford Ave., and the Kensington Branch at 40A Chamberlain Highway are presently closed to the public because of the health crisis, they still provide drive-through services for anyone in need of quick cash or other transactions with a teller.

Located at 363 North Main St., the Bristol office remains open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturday.

UBI offers a wide variety of banking services such as IRAs, insurance policies, mortgages and other types of loans, credit cards and payroll services.

The institution is encouraging patrons to take advantage of its online banking services. UBI’s website contains access to all of the necessary applications and forms to enroll in any of the provided financial products. The site, ubifcu.com, is easy to navigate and allows people to comfortably sign up for an account, manage existing finances, apply for a loan and so much more.

The website also helps people find surcharge-free ATMs when they are in need of money and not near one of UBI’s locations. Additionally, there are links that aid customers in banking safely online including many external links to informational courses on a wide range of topics such as online shopping security, viruses/worms and identity theft prevention.

The 85-year-old credit union also provides all of these services on its mobile app, which can be downloaded on Apple and Android devices. With people concerned about money now more than ever, it is important to use a bank that values its customers and does its best to make the banking process as simple as possible, especially when in-person access to a bank is more limited.
