BRISTOL - Posner, Henderson and Goslee Dentistry, which has been practicing in the community for 43 years, is now accepting new patients, whom they promise to provide with personal, friendly and experienced service.
The dental practice, located at 255 N. Main St., is owned by Dr. Howard Posner, who founded the practice, Dr. Marc Henderson, who came on board in 2007, and Dr. Matthew Goslee, who joined in 2009.
Together, they provide family dentistry services, such as cleanings and fillings, as well as cosmetic orthodontic treatment including Invisalign, veneers and whitening.
Henderson said that the dental practice sees three generations of repeat patients.
“Typically, Dr. Goslee treats the kids and I treat their parents and grandparents,” he said. “Then, the kids turn 18 and I treat them and when they have kids they cycle starts all over again.”
“Dr. Henderson’s reputation precedes itself - everyone remembers his practice which was originally with Dr. Turkus. When he died, I bought his half of the practice. From what I’ve seen over the years, patients keep coming back to us because we have a friendly atmosphere and practice ‘pain free dentistry,’” Goslee said.
“Our staff is very experienced and we have conversations with our patients, get to know them and build relationships,” he said. “We have many employees who have been here for 30 years - there is a lot of employee retention. We make patients feel at home and when they come in it’s like coming to see a friend.”
Goslee added that the practice’s fees are very competitive and stressed that they are very gentle with patients.
“I use the Wand (a computer-controlled, local-anesthesia delivery system) instead of a syringe to help with injections in my pediatric dentistry - it makes it more comfortable so patients feel less pressure,” he said.
“I also can offer sedation for patients who have anxiety,” Goslee said. “I love meeting new families and I try to make going to the dentist as fun as possible. I just like helping people to improve their quality of life by getting rid of their pain and making their smiles as good as they can be.”
Going forward, Henderson said that the practice hopes to continue to provide traditional dentistry with modern technology.
“One of the biggest changes in the industry is digital dentistry,” said Henderson. “We use a digital scanner to determine the dimensions for Invisalign braces, and digital imaging technology also makes X-rays use less radiation and makes them faster and provide clearer images. We can also take digital impressions of teeth without having to use a wet impression mold.”
Located at 255 North Main St., Posner, Henderson and Goslee Dentistry is open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
