PLYMOUTH – If you’re going to have someone work on the electricity in your home or business, wouldn’t you want it to be done by a good guy?

Good Guy Electric, owned and operated by Dean Ferrante, has provided reliable, quality electrical work for more than 20 years. The company got its start at 55 Ridge Road in Terryville in 1997 servicing and designing automatic machines. Over the years, Ferrante developed Good Guy Electric into a full-service electrical contractor. Good Guy Electric currently has five-star ratings on Google and Yahoo as well as an A+ rating with Angie’s List.

“The thousands of people who keep coming back to me over the years can’t be wrong,” said Ferrante. “I think people want somebody they can trust. Quotes are always free and customers often ask me when I’m finished, ‘Is that all this is going to cost?’ I have a competitive niche versus companies with higher overhead. I won’t nickel and dime you to death, and I will always provide quality work.”

Fully licensed, Ferrante has also worked as an electrical engineer, providing services to Hartford and Litchfield counties. Good Guy Electric is a member of several local business associations, including the Central Connecticut Chambers of Commerce.

Good Guy Electric has also done charitable work in the community.

“I donate some time to The Rotary Club and The Salvation Army around the holidays,” said Ferrante. “I believe in giving back to the community. I also donate some time to the town government in Terryville.”

Recently, Ferrante did some work with the fire alarm system at the American Clock and Watch Museum.

“He was wonderful,” said Patti Philippon, executive director of the museum. “He came in quickly and got it done right away. It was everything we could have asked for.”

Ferrante said he was glad to be of help to a “nice, family place” like the American Clock and Watch Museum, which he said he has brought his own family to a couple times.

Whether it’s industrial, commercial or residential work, Ferrante has it covered. No job is too small.

Good Guy Electric’s wide range of services include installation, troubleshooting, PLC program design, variable frequency drive setup, motor control wiring, service changes, wiring upgrades and generators, wiring for a host of lighting options, security cameras, fire alarms, home entertainment and service grounding and emergency lighting.

“Recently, I have also started doing electric car charger installations,” added Ferrante.
