American Welding and Fabrication to hold ribbon-cutting Oct. 18

NEW BRITAIN - A ribbon-cutting ceremony hosted by Mayor Erin Stewart will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 18, for the opening of American Welding and Fabrication.

Owners Patrick and Sue O’Connell moved their business from Newington to 30 Precision Court with the intention of expanding business operations.

American Welding and Fabrication is a certified welding house that performs all types of welding and fabrication on a variety of metals that include high carbon steel, stainless steel, aluminum, titanium and more.

With a larger facility - 15,000 square feet - the company will be able to provide additional services for customers.

The ribbon-cutting will begin at 2 p.m. Economic Development Director Bill Carroll and Greater New Britain Chamber of Commerce President Timothy Stewart will also be in attendance.
