NEW BRITAIN - Human Resources Agency of New Britain is offering a free manufacturing training program for qualified youth between the ages of 18 to 24.

According to HRA, there are slots available for the free program, offered in conjunction with Tunxis Community College. Income guidelines do apply.

Training includes four weeks of class time at Tunxis followed by paid on-site training at a Bristol manufacturer. HRA leaders said the need for skilled manufacturing employees is growing exponentially in Connecticut and this training will provide participants with the skills to gain entry level employment with state manufacturers.

The deadline to apply is Feb. 14. For more information, call HRA Bristol at 860-584-4674 or HRA New Britain at 860-826-6991.
