PLAINVILLE - U.S. Rep. Elizabeth Esty will visit Connecticut Tool and Manufacturing LLC today to tour the facility and discuss Connecticut’s growing role in the advance manufacturing aircraft industry.
Mike Greenwald, executive vice president of Connecticut Tool and Manufacturing, will accompany Esty on the tour, slated for 1:30 p.m.
The company, which opened its doors in 1954 and currently employs 125 people, produce parts for the aircraft industry, including flight safety parts, complex assemblies and prepackaged kits for streamlined point of use assembly.
Last Tuesday, Esty’s Promoting Women in Entrepreneurship Act, which encourages women to enter into STEM career fields, such as advanced manufacturing, passed the House of Representatives.
