To the Editor:

I would like to take this opportunity to endorse my brother-in-law for City Council. While I no longer reside in Bristol, I take great interest in the state affairs in my hometown.

I have been troubled recently by the extreme partisanship at all levels of government.

I feel that Peter Kelley is a person who rises above partisanship and puts the needs of his constituents first. He is a person with tremendous interpersonal skills, who always considers the other person’s point of view. Peter has always been a person of great empathy. He is a leader that is accessible to his constituents. He has demonstrated that he is a leader who listens to their concerns and acts on them.

His primary motivation in running for a third term is to give back to the city that he has called home for over 30 years.

I have personally witnessed the hard work and devotion that Peter has devoted to the city of Bristol. I know that this will continue in his next term.

I urge the voters of the Second District to re-elect Peter Kelley to City Council.
