To the Editor:
My wife and I raised our family in Bristol. When we downsized, we moved to the small town of Marlborough. I soon became involved in the town’s local politics serving on the Board of Finance and the Board of Selectmen. I quickly realized that all municipalities, regardless of size, share the same challenges.
Meeting these challenges takes someone who can make the difficult decisions required to address this task. Jolene Lusitani, candidate for Bristol’s City Council District 1, is that type of person. Jolene is a house wife and soccer mom who is tired of the people’s voice and concerns about being ignored by the City Council’s current one-party rule. Rather than just complain, she decided to take action and be a candidate for Bristol’s City Council.
Many of you have met Jolene as she has visited over 2,500 individual homes in District 1 asking you what your concerns about Bristol are, what you would like to see changed, eliminated, improved, added, etc… She heard you and will bring your concerns to the City Council. She will be your voice, your eyes, and your ears.
Jolene does not make decisions based on a knee-jerk reaction to how the wind happens to be blowing at that time. Jolene makes her decisions using common sense, your input, facts, and how that decision will affect Bristol now and in the future.
Please cast your vote for Jolene Lusitani on Nov. 2.
