To the Editor:

I am writing in support of the referendum question for infrastructure (roads and bridges) upgrades.

The $12 million investment would be allocated over a period of four years and would provide the majority of funding necessary to maintain and repair our roads and bridges.

Quality roads and bridges are an essential aspect of our town. I am proud of the investment the town has made on software that assists in the rating and planning for upgrades on the roads. The town cannot afford to simply neglect infrastructure as this will cost more in the long run.

I thank the residents for supporting the road referendum in the past and hope that you will support the referendum on the ballot this year.

For more information please visit the Town website at or reach out to me directly.

Thank you.

Tom Lombardi,

Southington Town Council
