The Bristol Press
To the Editor:
Three years ago, I contacted the then mayor and public works director concerning our crumbling road. They said their hands were tied and really couldn’t help. Their solution was to throw a few shovels full of asphalt in the worst potholes. This year, I contacted Mayor Ellen Zoppo-Sassu, along with my City Councilmen in the 2nd district Peter Kelley and Dave Preleski and Public Works Director Ray Rogozinski with my concerns. They promptly returned my emails and called me personally regarding the situation. They assured me they were working on the problem and it would be resolved soon. This week, a road paving crew reconstructed our street. Needless to say, we were very pleased with the follow-up, promises kept, and the work completed. It is refreshing to see our current elected officials getting things done for the residents and taxpayers of Bristol.
