To President Trump,
I am writing as the grandmother of a 14 year old and a 6 year old loved and lovely girls. I am writing as a citizen of the United States of America, a taxpayer and a law-abiding person of faith.
Frankly, I am appalled and dismayed, disheartened and discouraged at your administration policies and behavior towards people seeking entry at the southern border with Mexico.
For a fraction of what you propose to spend on your silly wall you could reunite families, hire thousands of immigration judges, empty the cages of humans you are treating worse than pound dogs and secure our border by pouring aid into the triangle countries of Nicaragua, Guatemala, and Honduras from which the refuges are streaming.
To combat my feelings of helpless rage over this situation, I am committing myself to writing you a letter once a week. These letters will not be sweetened with the beautiful compliments you have come to expect from “King Jung Iil,” but they will be the heartfelt expressions of a patriotic voter who had read both the constitution and the Mueller report. In short, I know where you fall short of all a President of the Unites States of America should be. You should be impeached.
Sincerely and respectfully for the office,
Laura B. Cook
