To The Editor:

I want to take a moment to compliment Mayor Zoppo-Sassu, the City Council, and the city employees. Reading the newspapers this past year has been a breath of fresh air with all the positive activity and general feeling of things getting done in Bristol.

It’s great to see so much progress! Having recently purchased a new home by Bristol Central, I can’t say enough about the city services, especially the plowing. I have never had a problem getting to work, or returning home in the snow.

I’ve lived in Bristol for several years - the improvements from past years, and what I was used to, have been amazing.

That, with the updates that the mayor does in her column, has educated me on what’s happening with programs, recycling, and what I can do to help.

I love seeing the partnerships with the schools and the many fun projects that are being advertised including the gardens, making birdhouses for the parks, the Farmers Markets, and workshops that we can attend.

It’s amazing what can happen in a city when the elected officials put politics aside and decide to work together, for us, and for the city. Seeing all of this has made me so happy that I decided to buy here and make Bristol home for good.

Thank you Mayor Zoppo-Sassu, City Council, and all of our dedicated city employees. I look forward to more good things to come!
