To the Editor:
It is an indisputable fact that the progress made in Bristol since Republicans took control of city government is real, measurable, tangible and significant.
Crime rates have decreased. The grand list has increased. Tax increases have been modest and, in some years, nonexistent. The city’s bond rating has improved to the highest rate possible. Construction is underway on the long vacant property in the heart of the city. Many new businesses have come to Bristol. The transformation of the former Memorial Boulevard School into a cultural center is closer to becoming a reality with funding approved for renovation of the theater and first floor, and the pre-construction, detailed design phase well underway.
These are just some of the many good things happening in our city thanks to the leadership and hard work of the Republican team that has governed Bristol. With results like these, clearly they deserve your vote in the upcoming election.
On Nov. 7th, vote row “B” to keep Republicans in control of city government so Bristol can continue moving in the right direction.
